  • Summit Cambridge Theatre Performance (2006) Performaner.. Summit Cambridge is a Training English centre in Zhaoqing, China. Every year they have a performance Chinese students doing role plays in english speaking. Derek had the opportunity to show a Karate performance along with his students doing the the first Kata (form) and basics of Karate.

  • The Dance (2006) Monk, film extra.The movie was made by Julie Hecht a friend of mine from University. I do remember she spent countless of hours in the editing suite changing scenes, reshooting, etc. She must have had about 3 hours worth of footage to play around with. It's just a shame it's only 5:57 mins
  • Misunderstood (2005) Camerman. A documentary on punks and goths in today's society.
  • Asian Dance (2005) Camerman and Choreographer Derek was working again with Shanbnum Begum for her final 3rd year project.
  • Eat (2005) Editor Derek created a movie trailer for his assigment for PC sound processing. They were going to make a movie out of it but there was not much interest in the project.
  • Karate (2005)This was a final year project at University, a short history about Karate and why people take up the sport. Interviews of the clubs where i used to train in Scotland & UK. Also a little bit about Bruce Lee, his history and how he made HK cinema popular to the west and how people still ripple out from Bruce in today's film making. The making of this nearly cost me $2000 traveling locations and traveling to China.
  • The Land Of Delph (2005)-Cameraman. Filming live a pantomine in the Greater Manchester area.
  • The University of Bolton (2005) Created as an assignment for Multimedia subjet to create a DVD with menus and chapter selections. Capturing footoage using a JVC, DY 70 camera. Interviews on staff and students to promote Bolton University
  • Anasonic USB memory stick (2005) 30 second movie clip an assignment for video in advertising. Starred, editor and directed the video.
  • Racism (2004) Cameraman. A documentary on Racism free zone.
  • Daysleeper (2004) Derek played a character named 'Tom' and also a soundman for the film.
  • Mask (2004) Dancer.Mask is about true identity. Made a by Shabnum Begum Visual Arts student. The story is formed in a dance, the man who wakes up from a deep sleep and starts to explore his surroundings he then sees a woman and is curious about her they dance and explore each other, she wants to remomve his Mask to see his true identity, will she still like in what she sees after removing his mask?
  • Home Bed & Breakfast (2004) Cameraman and Editor filming hotels promoting their business.
  • Spirit of Sport (2004) Played as a roled model the movements of sport with Shabnum Begum who won an award for best work of the class a Visual Art student from Bolton. I helped her as being the model of her project it's about movement in Sport. Creating all sorts of shapes and sizes along with pause stills. She won for the best work of the class in 2004 for her work.
